1. Using the Calculators

Contractor Ledger provides free calculators for estimating job prices, labor costs, margin, break-even rates, material markups, and project costs. Use the results for planning and review.

2. Estimates and Your Assumptions

Results are estimates based on the values you enter and the formulas shown on the site. They are not a quote, a guaranteed bid, a promise of profit, or legal, tax, accounting, or engineering advice.

Check that your costs, hours, quantities, overhead, and rates are complete and current for the job. The calculators cannot identify missing costs or verify supplier quotes, payroll assumptions, taxes, insurance, fees, or contract requirements.

3. Review Before You Bid

Review every estimate before sharing or relying on it. Actual costs and job results can differ from estimates, and the site does not guarantee commercial outcomes or profitability. Currency amounts are rounded to cents.

4. Changes to the Site

The site, calculators, or formulas may change. Check the current calculation methods and assumptions before using a result.
